Making lemonade

Northern California was the lucky recipient of some prolific rain storms recently. While we are still happy okay with this much water pouring out of the sky, it does present some challenges. For the dog walkers at Homeward Bound one of these is the sudden expansion of the pond making the path impassable without waders. Or a boat.

But Oscar had a different perspective and saw this as a golden opportunity.

And it wouldn’t be a good day with out some Oscar expressions. He happily obliged.

  4. As I have noted many times in various blogs that focus on dogs, we can learn so much from them. Whatever the weather, there is always something thing that can be done with it that is fun! 🙂

  5. Oh my goodness. How cute is that. He is having a blast! I’m glad to see that the dogs at HB are able to walk off leash….not what I had envision when I see the term “dog walker.” Well, I’m sure they all can’t, but the ones who can I’m sure enjoy that so much more. Sorry for the flooding, but better than the drought that usually plagues California, right? Caught the “golden” pun too. 😉

    1. I wondered if anyone would comment on that. I typed “golden” without intent to make a pun. I only caught it when I reread the sentence. Being off-leash on the grounds is actually unusual. This was late in the afternoon when no one was around. But we have a lots of yards, a few of them big and one that is humungous.

LOL! I bet Oscar was the only one in the county who enjoyed the flooding! What happy dog! Boy, that pond was deep and perfect for a good Winter swim. Love his crooked smile. 🙂
