Espresso is not just an alumnus of Homeward Bound. He also stayed with me for a couple months while he went through heartworm treatment and then was made available for adoption. He was named “Watson” at the time, and is one of those dogs that I would gladly have kept forever if that were possible.
‘Spresso, as I call him, is a tall, slender, extremely handsome fellow. He’s a little on the shy side but once he warms up to people they quickly become his best friends. He’s not the most confident of dogs so loud noises, sudden movements, and new situations can be a bit challenging for him.
He love to run around and play with his toys. Plus, he has a great personality once he lets it show.
The best news is that I get to have him almost 3 weeks! Tomorrow I will introduce him to Scrappy. Here’s hoping they will play together and tire each other out.
Great pictures! We are so happy that he is with you, the person he loves so much and who loves him back 🙂

We often take our Ray back to the Humane Society, where he came from, because that is where he wants to go to visit one of the trainers that he is really attached to. The love seeing him again, but I was surprised when they told me how few people take their dogs back there to visit. You obviously were thrilled to see ‘Spresso again, just as they always are to see Ray. Perhaps some people reading this will go “Oh ….. what a good idea! I never thought of that. I’ll do just that on our next walk/adventure.” I am sure that the shelter staff will be so pleased to see some of their ex- residents again. 🙂

I’m glad you take Ray back. There are many dogs that I would love to see again. Perhaps some people think their dogs will be afraid they will be left there again. For some, of course, it’s just too far to go as we adopt out to a fairly wide area.
