I like movies from the 30s and 40s. The 1930s and 1940s. One of the things I like is how they use the word “pal” in a vaguely threatening manner. When I saw this photo, I imagined Andre saying to me, “Look, pal, I got a bone to pick with you.”          

Brandee too?

A while back, Scrappy thought he might become a pro wrestler (Scrappy’s new career). Now it seems Brandee is also interested. Brandee: DaddyDog. Me: Yes, Brandee? Abner at Play

I recently wrote about a dog called Abner here. I lamented that I couldn’t really capture him in the photos I posted. As it happens, Abner was in a play group or three recently and I realized I had some video. I’ve said before that I’m not good at video. That’s still true. Abner

Abner came to us with his Mom and sister a little over two months. I’m hazy on the details but I believe they came from a breeder. Abner was the least trusting of the three. Mom and sis were adopted and that may have set him back a little. We keep a leash on him at all times because he can be hard to corral when he is out in a yard. I started working with him over a month ago. Others have been working with him longer. I don’t usually work with the “scared” dogs because I just don’t…
