I had mentioned that I had a few canine guests over Thanksgiving weekend but I’m just now getting to Yule’s photos. He makes a good subject as always. Yule did well with Lilly although she is still wary of him. He also spent a little time with Buddy out in the yard a couple times. Yule doesn’t realize what an imposing figure he cuts. Sometimes you just end up with more dogs than you expected. I’ve long known that Yule was coming for the Thanksgiving weekend. That would make just three dogs including Scrappy and Lilly, the full-time residents here. But then Buddy’s parents texted a few days ago to see if I could accommodate Buddy for a few days. Homeward Bound had a pair of visitors from Oregon over the weekend. Sophie and Riki graced us with their playful presence and charmed everyone they met.
Shaggy stops by
Shaggy’s Mom brought him with her to HB yesterday. She was feeding the kennel dogs in the morning and didn’t to leave him home due to some construction happening at their house. I was grateful to be able to spend a little time. He was lying in a yard when I arrived so I lay down next to him and stroked his beautiful coat. I had forgotten how he starts to “purr” when you do that. Shaggy stayed with me for a couple months while undergoing treatment for heartworm. They can’t run or play during this time because the worms…
