Common name, uncommon dog. Or so I hear. I haven;t had much time to spend with him. But he’s the kind fo dog you just want to take to your car the moment you see him.

Tilly
Tilly. One of the many ill-treated dogs Homeward Bound takes in every year from the same people. It never ends.
Scrappy makes it look easy
Wilson has been with us at Homeward Bound for over two months ago. He’s a spunky little guy tipping the scales at a hefty 35 pounds are so. He comes with a ton of personality that makes people like him immediately. Unfortunately, he’s also fearful of other dogs and has chosen “the best defense is a blitzkrieg offense” strategy when it comes to the scary dogs. To make things worse, Wilson’s size has helped him become a master of slipping by slow humans at a gate or door. Twice this has given him access to attack other dogs. I use…
Better to be lucky…
I like this photo okay. But it was never intended to be anything, to be honest. I pointed the camera at the subject and pressed the shutter button to check the lighting. When I went through today’s shots, I was surprised to find that it had possibilities. A little fair amount of work in Photoshop and it’s presentable. Additional photos from today.
Stella & Stanley
A sweet pair that loves to play. Stella Bella and Stanley Manley.
Scrappy’s new career
Scrappy: Hey, DaddyDog! Me: What now, Scrappy? Scrappy: I’m gonna be a pro wrestler. Me: That’s just great. Do have any experience in wrestling? Scrappy: Work? Hey, you’re forgetting when I wrestled that big dog. Uh, you know, Charlie. Me: So you did. What are you doing to get ready? It’s hard work even if it is fake. Scrappy: Wind sprints, baby! And it’s not fake. Scrappy: And I’m practicing my ugly face. Scrappy: And my tricks. “Playing with a possum” is my favorite because it’s just like napping. Me. Okay, sounds good. You need a strong ring name. What…

To sleep, perchance to… just sleep!
I went to bed at 12:30 a.m. today. I was pleased. That’s probably earlier than the average. But sleep I did not. I lay there for a good long time before I got up. A good long time lasted an hour and a half tonight. Among many other things, I don’t do sleeping well. In fact, the last time I had a great night’s sleep and bounded out of bed full of energy was in 2006. I remember the day well. But once up, what to do? I decided to finish this post I’ve been working on for days. I…

Long time passing
It’s been ages since I posted anything. Or looked at the blog in any way. I see I have some comments to attend to. Apologies are in order, and I do so apologize now for an unacknowledged absence. I’m sure this has not even been noticed by many readers but it’s still rude. I hate it when I’m rude. I was considering packing it all in but next year’s fees were charged so I may continue the blog. I really just don’t now yet. It’s light out now. I’ll probably go back to bed and attempt to steal back an…
